In order to help ensure a healthy community for everyone and help protect the interests of Dudes & Brews, we ask members and event attendees to abide by our community standards below.
- Respect Everyone
Treat all members with kindness and respect. Discrimination, hate speech, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. - Respect Locals & Portuguese Culture
Unless you are a Portuguese citizen, most of us are guests in this country. Be courteous to locals, respect cultural norms, venue staff, and do your part to represent the group well — especially in public spaces. In case of any issues with service or staff at event venues, please speak with the event organizer directly. We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct towards event venue staff. - No Spamming or Self-Promotion
Do not promote your business, events, services, or social media in the WhatsApp group or via private DMs unless approved by the group organizer. - Safety First
Look out for one another. If you see something unsafe or uncomfortable happening at an event, speak up or let the host know privately. - Be Mindful of Others
Everyone comes from different backgrounds. Be considerate with your language, jokes, and behavior — especially around new members. - No Unsolicited DMs
Don't send private messages to other members without a clear reason or prior interaction. Respect people's privacy and space online just like in person. - No Harassment or Being a Nuisance
Harassing or inappropriate behavior, repeated interruptions, or making others feel uncomfortable — whether online or in person — won't be tolerated. - Take Your RSVP Seriously
We'll understand if you can't make it, but please keep your event RSVPs up to date. - Event Host Has Final Say
Follow the guidance of the host at all events. They're there to make sure things run smoothly and safely for everyone.
We take our Code of Conduct seriously. Violations may result in being temporarily or permanently removed from our community and future events. You may also be asked to leave an event.
